Signing in
Sign-in happens at auth.potloc.com. The platform, the MCP server and any AI assistant connected
through it all send you there, and one sign-in covers them all.
Getting an account
Section titled “Getting an account”Accounts are created by invitation. Potloc invites you when your engagement starts, and a colleague with the right role on a survey can invite you to it from the platform. In both cases you receive an activation email. The account exists once you have followed it and accepted Potloc’s terms of use and privacy policy. There is no self-serve sign-up.
Ways to sign in
Section titled “Ways to sign in”You always start by entering your email address. What follows depends on how your organisation is set up with Potloc:
| Your organisation | What happens next |
|---|---|
| Uses SAML single sign-on with Potloc | You are sent to your identity provider to sign in, and come back signed in. |
| Requires Google or Microsoft sign-in | You are asked to continue with that provider. There is no password. |
| Neither | You enter your password. Sign in with Google and Sign in with Microsoft are available here too, with no set-up. |
Google and Microsoft sign-in work for any account whose email address is a Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID address. Nothing is linked in advance.
Both organisation-level options are configured with Potloc. See Single sign-on and provisioning.
Passwords
Section titled “Passwords”- A password is between 15 and 128 characters long.
- Forgot password on the sign-in page sends a reset link to your email address.
- Change it from Profile → Password on the platform. Changing it ends every signed-in session, including the one you changed it from, so sign back in with the new password.
- Repeated failed attempts lock the account. You receive an email with a link to unlock it. If you do nothing, the lock lifts on its own after a short while.
Sessions
Section titled “Sessions”A sign-in lasts up to 30 days. Sign out from the profile menu on the platform. That ends your browser session on every Potloc address. An app connected to your account keeps its own access until you revoke it under Connected apps.
Connected apps
Section titled “Connected apps”Anything that holds access to your account on your behalf, such as an AI assistant connected over MCP, is listed under Profile → Connected apps (app.potloc.com/en/profile/authorization). Revoking one there signs it out immediately.
Changing your email address
Section titled “Changing your email address”The email address identifies the account, so it cannot be edited from the profile. Write to support@potloc.com and we will change it for you.
When you cannot sign in
Section titled “When you cannot sign in”Write to support@potloc.com from the address on the account and say which method you were using. Do not include your password.
